Blood of the Living Dead Episode 7 - 'The Army Scientist'

Episode 7 "The Army Scientist"

He can only see blurs. His vision a quagmire of red mud, like a set of rubies shining in the deepest seas. He cannot think straight, his instincts are his only guide amid forgotten memories he cannot reach from within the bowels of his brain. He wants to speak but can only grunt a faint growl. He got legs but he cannot move them freely, his arms heavy as he walks sheepishly around a complex of white walls. His white lab coat turned red, soaked with his own blood. His ID hangs ominously from his neck which says he is once a scientist whose name was Dr. Martin Niveso. But he is no longer human. The zombie who bit him has infected him, turning him to a monster he is now. The electricity has failed previously and all gates went up. He felt like a wild animal set loose. He is now very hungry and awaits his prey.

Debbie is panting hard, her ample breasts exposed from her partially opened blouse. One breast is held by Leun as he enters her while they stand. She can feel pleasure as she feels his hardness ravaging her femininity, going inside and then out again repeatedly. One hand holding his nape as she kisses his lips wildly, while her other hand guiding Leun's behind as he pounds her over and over again. She screams as orgasm quickly sets on, her vagina quivering at every thrust. She can feel his lust flooding her, lubricating her in endless sensation. Then they stopped moving, breathing heavily as they kiss and touch each other in tender caress.

She loves Leun. She had taken care of her ever since this pandemonium of evil started. He saved her life many times. It's not that she owes him much, but she is greatly attracted to him. His boyish yet square face, his hard body and his cute smiles. She has never been this complete all her life.

I zipped my pants and smiled at Debbie while she fixes herself. We weren't able to control ourselves earlier when Kris left us alone to go to a restroom. Kris is having stomach pains, brought about by the killing carnage we did when we entered the army headquarters. Now she arrives. She looked at Debbie and smiled naughtily, as if she knows we did it. Debbie's breasts are imposing on her blouse, her nipples still erect from the deed. Kris might have sensed something went really nasty with Debbie and me. I can't help but smile, too. Women.

KKRRRSSSHHHHH!

"Hold on to your weapons, ladies, I can hear sounds from behind us."

Kris turned her head and let out a faint yelp! A zombie in a white lab coat is approaching. His eyes turning even grayer and sharper as it snouts, sniffing our odor from the air. I recognize the zombie. It was the army scientist. He, too, is now one of the undead. I felt like I'm throwing up. Not because of the sight but the loss of hope. The hope of answers, of a cure, of reviving a city that burned down. Everything is lost now, as the army scientist is now lost.

Kris and Debbie went closer to me, grasping my arms as the scientist-zombie comes closer. My hand firmly gripped my pistol as I come face to face with Dr. Niveso. He is only a few inches away from my face. This will be the first time that I've been near a walking zombie. I can smell the scent of rotten flesh, like pig meat left in the heat of the sun. Its flesh turning white as if blood has been sucked from his very veins. The eyes are dead gray, I can only see a faint reflection of me in its pupils.

"LEUN, WATCH OUT!" Debbie was shouting but it seems faint to me. I am too engrossed looking at the scientist that my brain seemed to wander. I am not thinking straight at the moment. Questions seem to fill my mind. What does a zombie think? What does it feel? How does it move even when dead? What does it want?

"WHHHHEEEeeeeeeezzzz!" The blade of the machete sped past my face hitting the scientist by the neck! Its sharpness severing the veins from its neck as dark blood spurts out. Flesh ripping as the machete goes deeper in its neck, exposing more veins and red meat from beneath it!

Dr. Niveso's head rolled on the floor. My eyes fixed at it as it bumps the white wall of the complex. I stood still for a moment looking at the severed head as blood oozes from its neck. It was not Dr. Niveso. It was something different, something evil, like Satan himself! I know Debbie did the right thing. The zombie is no longer the scientist I knew. It cannot recognize, cannot think, and worst can no longer concoct an antidote to save this city from going down.

It's then that I realize that we're now on our own now. Me, Debbie and Kris. We have to fight the zombies ourselves henceforth. The demons, the undead who came from hell. They will be the enemies.

We will make this complex our fortress. There is food and water here. There are power generators, there are weapons, there are laboratories. Dr. Niveso's research notes are here, his books, his chemicals. I am not a chemist, not a scientist, not an inventor. But I still live. Everything can be learned. For the sake of humanity, I must learn. I shall continue Dr. Niveso's work. Together with Debbie and Kris, we will work hard. Work the hardest for mankind to survive!

It is dusk. Outside the army headquarters, zombies walk in circles like wolves in a pack. They know there are food inside the complex. They cannot enter it for now as there are barricades on all entrances. But they don't care. They will have to find a way inside sooner or later. All they need is just time. And they all have the time in the world!
